Alloy 201 is an alloy similar to Alloy 200, but with low carbon content, owing to which it is preferred in caustic soda. Nickel Alloy 201 has good resistance to corrosion in acids & alkalis and hence is extremely useful in under reducing conditions. The nickel alloy 201 is virtually immune to inter granular attack above 315°C.
